Hello clabedz,

Im glad to hear we are making progress.

The preview window in the Manage tab will not display the clock as this is generated by the player after the content is generated. It will be played as the top-most region, overlaying everything else. Its possible the clock you saw before was the database generated clock we used to get your random image drop folder working. Since this would have been a standard text region, it will display in the preview panel in the Manage tab.

The Delay may have been required to give the server enough time to process the .asp page correctly. You can try setting the Delay to 5 minutes and see if the information continues to stays current.

A single instance of WebCapt will run IF all HTML regions are configured with the same Update Interval. If the Delay or Update Interval is different, multiple WebCapt processes will load (at the same time) and stay for as long as the Delay is set for.

If you have any further questions, let me know.

Kind Regards,
Sergey

Hi clabedz,

Tech Support is working on the Web Capture question, but I can speak to the clock, now that I understand that you are looking for it in the Manage Tab Thumbnail.

The clock region is the only one that is generated by the player and is overlaid on top of everything else. The rest of the content is generated and uploaded by the server. Thus, you never see the clock region on the Manage Tab Thumbnail.

You will have the preview of the clock region in the Design Tab when you are previewing the pages and timeline, but not on the Mange Tab Thumbnail.

Our apologies for any confusion.

David

Thank you, both David and Sergey. If I play with the timing, I can get the system to keep up to date. I had all four pages at the same update interval for HTML, but I believe two of the pages might be OK with the 15 minute interval. The other two should be as low as possible, but I'll try to keep it around the 5 minute mark and see what happens.

As for the clock, I believe when I changed the display to a custom time format, it may have stopped showing on the preview window. I know that I saw it there at some point, but did not have time to test that theory today. That page has changed slightly, so I'll have to figure out what I did in the beginning. As long as it displays on the floor, I'm ok with that. I can use the design/timeline to see how it will appear.

Thanks again for all your help!
