What exactly is VESA Sleep mode, and how does it differ from normal sleep mode on a display?

I see the option available to me in Noventri Suite and I have a few NEC screens, would I be able to use this feature?

Hello MrJamesBond,

VESA Sleep Mode allows for your SF-100e Digital Signage Player to send a signal to the display, turning it off when nothing is scheduled. Locations that are not open 24/7 can take advantage of this feature to save electricity and avoid the hassle of turning screens off / on manually every day.

While this feature works with most displays, I will need to verify for you if it does on your particular model NEC. What is the model number of your NEC display?

I think the model is V421-2 and they are connected through DVI.

Your model of display will work perfectly with the VESA sleep mode option. Simply check the box, and send an empty schedule (containing no content) to the SF-100e player. You should see the screen go into sleep mode.
