Looking ahead

Post by bjazmoore »

Can you tell us what is in store for the software suite and the server? HTML rendering? Flash support? Juline Fries? I know from recent conversations that there are some neat things happening in the software development side of the business. What can we look forward to and about when might we see some of these goodies?

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for checking in. There are a lot of interesting things up and coming in the Noventri Suite software.

Version 2.2 is the next release and it will provide the following:

Dynamic Page Creation

On-Screen Multi-Language Support (Unicode)

Multi-Server Support

Server Can Run As a Service

RS-232 Control Including On a Schedule

Firmware Upgrade for Enhanced Player Operation

Bug Fixes

You've mentioned HTML Rendering and if you like, we can fill you in on a work around that has worked very well for some of our clients.
If you would like to know more about how to integrate HTML pages in your content, go here: http://www.noventri.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=64#p64

We also have a really cool Emergency Panel which will enable the user to dynamically broadcast emergency messages to screens manually by hitting a "big-red-button" on the software or by having it tied into the on-site fire alarm system so that when people pull the fire pull, it sends a trigger to our players and will automatically broadcast a "You Are Here" map that is unique to the location to each player. We're really excited about this feature and so are our clients.

Native RSS feed compatibility is on the road map too. RSS feeds will also be a part of the Emergency Panel (eventually) so that we can tie in dynamic emergency messages that come from outside the "walls" of the users building such as weather alerts etc...

I hope this helps, and if you have any questions about the features listed above I'd be happy to elaborate! If you have any suggestions for new feature, please let us know so that we can continue to make the Eco-Series solutions even more perfect for you!
