• Location — Used to reference where the player was installed.
• Skip Mode — This feature is no longer available.
• Time Zone — Lets you select the time zone (and enable Daylight Savings Time if desired) for your players. This should match the time zone where the player is physically installed.
• Resolution — For best results the resolution you select should be set to the native resolution of the monitor being used for that SF-100e player.
• Orientation — This should match the orientation that was used when the project was created. For best results, the project orientation and the player’s orientation should match.
• Cache Duration — How far into the future (in seconds) the server will generate content.
• Web Config — Allows the SF-100e to be configured from a web browser on the network via the player’s IP Address. (See the Web Config section of this manual.)

2.6.5
The Advanced button allows you to configure the network settings for each player that was selected.
• Use DHCP — By default, the SF-100e will be configured to use DHCP and obtain an IP Address automatically. If this checkbox is unchecked, the players will use the static IP Addresses and the settings entered below.
• Netmask — If you do not use DHCP, you will need to make sure the NETMASK is correct for your network.
• Gateway — If you do not use DHCP, you will need to make sure the GATEWAY is correct for your network.
• DNS 1 — If you do not use DHCP, you will need to manually enter the primary DNS for your network. You can use the GATEWAY IP Address as your primary DNS.
• DNS 2 — The secondary DNS is set to 0.0.0.0 by default. If DNS 1 is using the GATEWAY IP Address, DNS 2 can stay default.
• Noventri Server — Use the IP Address and Port of the computer where the Noventri Server™ software is installed.

2.7 - Settings Panel

2.7.1
The Settings panel allows you to view and set up each individual player’s configuration. To save any changes you have made, click the Apply button. To discard any changes, click the Cancel button.
• Player — The name given to your player for reference.
• Location — Used to reference where the player was installed.
• Status — Tells you what the player is currently doing.
• Groups — Lists the name of the group if a player belongs to one.
• Last Published — Shows the date and time of the last successful publish.
• Currently Playing — Shows the schedule that is currently associated with this player.
• Skip Mode — This feature is no longer available.
• Time Zone — Displays what the current time zone is set to on the player.
• Edit Tone Zone — Lets you select a new time zone (and enable Daylight Savings Time if desired) for your player. This should match the time zone where the player is physically installed.
• Resolution — For best results, the resolution you select should be set to the native resolution of the monitor being used for that SF-100e player.

Note: When creating a new project, a resolution must be selected. When that project is scheduled to the player, the Noventri Server™ software will adjust the project resolution to fit the monitor resolution you select here.

• Orientation — This should match the orientation that was used when the project was created. For best results, the project orientation and the player orientation should match.
• VESA Sleep Mode — Allows the monitor to go into stand-by mode when there is nothing scheduled to play. (VESA compatible displays only.)

Note: When using the VESA Sleep Mode with SCODEC resolutions, the player can take up to two minutes to resume playback.

2.8 - Advanced

2.8.1
The Advanced button lets you configure the network settings for each player as well as list other important information about the player.

Warning: Changing any setting here will cause you to temporarily lose contact with the SF-100e player. Make sure the Noventri Server has the correct IP Address and Port before applying any changes.

• Use DHCP — By default, the SF-100e will be configured to use DHCP and obtain an IP Address automatically. If this checkbox is unchecked, that player will use the static IP Address and the settings entered below.

Note: If the SF-100e does not receive a DHCP assigned IP Address, it will be
assigned a default IP Address of 192.168.0.190.

• IP Address — Allows you to change the IP Address of the SF-100e player. If you change the IP Address be sure you have the correct GATEWAY and NETMASK filled in also.
• Netmask — Only required if Use DHCP is unchecked.
• Gateway — Only required if Use DHCP is unchecked.
• DNS 1 — Only required if Use DHCP is unchecked.
• DNS 2 — Only required if Use DHCP is unchecked.
• Noventri Server — Use the IP Address and Port of the computer where the Noventri Server™ software is installed.

Warning: The computer with Noventri Server™ software installed MUST have a Static IP Address (not DHCP assigned) for the SF-100e to be able to access it consistently. If necessary, have your network administrator set up a STATIC IP Address for you.

• Skip Mode — This feature is no longer available.
• Cache Duration — How far into the future (in seconds) the server will generate content.
• MAC Address — The MAC Address is shown for reference only and cannot be changed. A unique address is assigned to every network adapter.
• Firmware Version — Shows the current firmware version installed on the SF-100e player.
• Software Version — Shows the current software version installed on the SF-100e player.
• Serial # — The Serial number is shown for reference only and cannot be changed. This lets us identify each SF-100e, when it was built and which batch it came from.
• Web Config — Allows the SF-100e to be configured from a web browser on the network via the player’s IP Address. (See the Web Config section of this manual.)

2.8.2
The DB Bindings button is used to associate the player with database information. This will most likely be used for meeting rooms that have a specific start and end time in the database and need them to display at the correct time. (See the Database section of the manual.)

2.8.3
Once you have made your changes, click the Apply button to save your new settings or click the Cancel button to discard them.

2.9 - Control Buttons

Image

2.9.1
The STOP button will halt the rotation of pages and the screen will turn black if there was a schedule playing.

2.9.2
The PLAY button will start the playback up again from the last page it displayed before it was stopped.

2.9.3
The Reboot button will force the SF-100e to reboot. After confirming that you want to reboot, the player can take up to two minutes to come back up.

2.9.4
The Delete button will remove the selected SF-100e player from the MANAGE tab. Use this to discard of any players that have been disconnected or you are no longer using.

Note: Players that are connected cannot be deleted as they are still accessible by the server. If a disconnected player got deleted while it was still pointing to the Noventri Server, it will reconnect to the server again once it powers up.
