Project

4.1 - New Project

4.1.1
Click the New button or go to File > New Project. The New Project Wizard
window will be displayed. This window contains the Project Properties.
Note: To change the Project Properties after a Project has been created, go to
Edit > Project Properties.

4.1.2
Fill in the Project Name. The Project Folder will contain all the projects you
create. The default path used by the Suite™ is below, however you can
Browse to a different location if desired.
Default: C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My Documents\Noventri
Suite Projects

4.1.3
Select the Resolution of the monitor that you plan to play your Project on.
For best results, select a resolution that matches the native resolution of your
monitor. This can be found in the monitor’s manual.

4.1.4
The Page Orientation changes the layout of how your Project is created. The
orientation should be selected before you begin creating the Project or you may
have to readjust some images or text to fit properly. Select the Page
Orientation for the Project, then click OK.
0° will create a Landscape Page area.
90° will create a Portrait Page area.
180° will create an upside down Landscape Page area.
270° will create an upside down Portrait Page area.
Note: This Page Orientation should match the orientation of how the monitor
is installed. If you are using an Eco-Series™ player, the orientation you
select here must also match the orientation that you set for the player.

4.1.5
The Edit Page tab will now be displayed with Page01 ready to work on.

4.2 - Open Project

4.2.1
To open an existing Project click the Open button or go to File > Open Project,
then browse to the Project location (*.sfp) and click Open.

4.3 - Save Project

4.3.1
To save a Project at any time, click the Save button or go to File > Save.

4.4 - Save As Project

4.4.1
To save a Project as a new name, go to File > Save As, type in the new file
name, and click Save. You cannot Save As into a different directory; to do this
use Export Project.

4.5 - Export Project

4.5.1
To export (save) a Project to a new location go to File > Export Project.
Browse to the new location where you want to put a copy of the Project,
and click OK.

4.6 - Recent Files

4.6.1
Under Recent Files will be a list of the last five Projects you worked on
(added here as you save your Projects). Clicking one of the file names is
a quick way to load that Project.

4.7 - Project Properties

4.7.1
To access the Project Properties, go to Edit > Project Properties, or right-click
the mouse in the Composition panel and select Project Properties.

4.7.2
Modify the Resolution of the monitor where the Project will be displayed. For
best results, select a resolution that matches the native resolution of your
monitor. This can be found in the monitor’s manual.

4.7.3
Modify the Page Orientation of your Project. This will change the orientation of
your current project to the one you select.
0° will create a Landscape Page area.
90° will create a Portrait Page area.
180° will create an upside down Landscape Page area.
270° will create an upside down Portrait Page area.
Note: This Page Orientation should match the orientation of how the monitor
is installed. If you are using an Eco-Series™ player, the orientation you
select here must also match the orientation that you set for the player.

4.8 - Options

4.8.1
To access Project Options, go to Edit > Options, or right-click the mouse in the
Composition panel and select Options.

4.8.2
The Default Project Directory is set to the path below, however you can use the
Browse button to select a different location if desired.

Default: C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My Documents\Noventri Suite Projects

4.8.3
Monitor to use for Preview checkbox allows you to view your Project in
preview mode. Selecting this option will prevent you from making changes to
your Project but will allow you to see your Pages in actual size on the monitor
selected from the dropdown menu that Windows has available.
Note: The Monitor to use for Preview checkbox should not be checked during
Project creation. Check this when you are ready to preview your Project.
This will be covered in more detail in the Preview Monitor section of this
manual.

4.8.4
Click the Apply button to save your changes.
